The four upgrades
The house expands in four steps. Each step is bought from the Carpenter for a set amount of materials and coin, and takes effect immediately.
Where the materials come from
Wood and stone are easy. The ingots are the real constraint — each tier needs a deeper metal, which means a longer mining loop before the upgrade is even affordable.
Wood and Stone
Gathered on the farm and from the Mines entrance area.
Copper, Iron, Silver
Smelted at the Blacksmith from mined ore, tier by tier.
Gold
The last tier — the deepest mining in the game.
Hard Wood and Refined Stone
Processed materials rather than raw ones — check what the refinery produces.
The upgrade tiers ask for Copper Ingot, Iron Ingot, Silver Ingot, Gold Ingot in that order, so smelting capacity follows the same ladder.
The exterior is a separate purchase
Appearance upgrades are cosmetic and can be bought at any time once the Carpenter is available. They do not depend on the interior upgrade tiers.
